Science Specialist Monica Sims had the opportunity to support Mrs. Haley Greer and her 6th-grade Gifted and Talented class at Monticello Middle School during an engaging three-day pig heart dissection experience.

Students explored the structure of the heart firsthand, making observations and connections to what they’ve been learning in class. It was exciting to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they investigated each part of the heart and deepened their understanding of how it functions.

Thank you to Mrs. Greer for the invitation and for providing such a meaningful, hands-on learning opportunity for students!
