📊✨ Our Math Specialist, Katlin Hogue, spent time at Dumas Elementary last week leading PLCs for grades K–5.

🔹 3rd–5th grade teams focused on developing strong math intervention plans to better support student learning.
🔹 K–2 teachers explored the progression of math fluency from kindergarten through 5th grade, including meaningful conversations about how these skills impact students well into adulthood.

Science Specialist, Monica Sims, had the pleasure of observing a fantastic 8th-grade science class at DeWitt Middle School! The students were fully engaged in a STEM activity, designing and building their own rubber band cars.

This hands-on project was a perfect way for them to explore the concepts of potential energy and kinetic energy in action. Seeing them apply their knowledge to a real-world challenge was truly inspiring.

Kudos to the students and their dedicated teachers for making science so exciting and tangible!
